Nintendo has famously not licensed out its characters for mobile games. However, Mobario is an unofficial game starring a plump Italian plumber rescuing a princess, while jumping on turtles, and collecting coins and mushrooms. Sound familiar? The game’s being distributed on new ad-funded mobile games service Hovr.

This is funny, because I really think a phone port of Mario would suck, but I just had to post it….

In 2006, DS sales exploded around the world. By the end of the year, the DS had sold about 35 million units in only two years on the market. The Game Boy Advance, launched in 2001, has sold an additional 75 million units. The DS is well on its way to becoming the best selling game system ever in Japan. Here’s why.

Looks to be a port of Sim City 3000 with a few new features. Should be a gem. Sim City is just one of those great games….

The cycle has come full circle, we started out playing arcades many years ago and since then we
’ve moved into hardcore detailed games. Now, it seems, we’re heading back into the “dark ages” of casual games. Many companies, including the Big 3, are banking on it. Microsoft has now launched a casual gaming site which is targeted for non 360 owners. As this isn’t exactly Nintendo news, but it just shows how more companies are “pulling a Nintendo”

The recharge station is suggested to cost $29.99 USD. Which coincedentally $10 USD cheaper than the suggested price for JoyTech’s Wiimote charger. Some pictures of the two.

Tired of waiting for Nintendo to produce a solution, Chris Williams, a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering, made his own clip to attach a Wii remote to the Classic Controller, handily solving one of our Wii annoyances. All it took was three hours of labor and some high-tech equipment to make Williams something of a hero in Nintendo circles.
